For you my love

I carry the red

for you my love

I shed the yellow

for you my love

I am pricked with thorns

for a lifetime of moments

I confess melt my heart

for you my love

I will try

that the bud blossoms

into a velvet so soft

into a fragrance so sweet

that it burns my soul

for you my love

I shall give my all

so that every petal

that autumns from the rose

is sacred and saved

I shall make promises

of feeling blessed

every moment

just as the thorn

is blessed with the rose
